Vintage Kay K6970 Swingmaster Sunburst With OSSC

We have a great vintage guitar here, and it's one you don't see often - online and definitely not in person. It's a Kay Swingmaster K6970. It originally came out in the late 50's, and made for a short time as a high-end, thinline hollowbody, before being updated. Serious Kay fans and collectors look for the original model, which is what we have here.
The body is a thinline (2" deep) full hollowbody with a single rounded cutaway and double F-holes. It's made of curly maple laminate for the top, back, and sides, with a spruce top. It has an easy to play slim profile neck, made of steel reinforced maple and topped with a rosewood fretboard. The result is a very resonate guitar, which sounds great the moment you pick it up and even better when you plug it it,
Dual super sensitive magnetic pickups bring vintage tone that is clear and rings beautifully, especially on chords, but with enough bite for lead playing. You get a 3-way selector switch as well as seperate tone & volume controls.
This K6970 Swingmaster isn't just a vintage collectible; it’s a soulful, vibey tool that brings a specific, historic character to any studio or stage rig. The guitar is good condition especially considering its age, and the original chipboard case is included. The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly. It's a great find!
