Vintage 1967 Fender Super Reverb Guitar Amp Combo

Used And Vintage Amps

Originally introduced in 1963, the Fender Super Reverb became a go to amp for a ton of guitarists, from Stevie Ray Vaughn to Johnny Marr to Robben Ford to Alex Lifeson.  With styles as varied as those, it's no wonder that it's seen as one of the more versatile amps out there.  If you can crank it up, there's nothing like it.

The last year of the "blackface" panel was 1967, which is what we have year.  This is a great example of what a vintage amp can be.  Two channels, classic Fender reverb and 40 watts of all tube tone create a lush, rich tone that can be used in a variety of settings.  As to be expected for a Super Reverb, this amp has an emphasis on the sparkly treble and full, round bass push, with scooped mids.  Whether played super clean or with warm tube breakup, the 10" speakers can handle it.

This one in particular was worked on by the legendary Los Angeles amp guru Roy Blankenship, who put in a Mercury Magnetics transformer.  It also has a replaced grill cloth, baffle board and speakers (reissue Jensens).  Everything else is all original.  It has been vetted and tested here to perfect working order.

The condition of the amp is excellent, especially considering it's age.  There is some wear on the bottom and corners, as to be expected, but it's a really clean example of a '67 Super Reverb.  We have seen may from this era come in as good of shape as this one.

You've heard it on countless hit records and live performances.  Crisp, articulate, full bodied and full of dynamics - that's the sound.  There's only one way to get it - with your own vintage '67 Super Reverb.  Come to Truetone Music to experience it yourself, or order right here to have us expertly pack and carefully ship this amazing amp to your home.
