Vintage 1953 Kay M1B 3/4 Upright Double Bass Viol with Softshell Case
For upright basses, vintage finds like this are hard to come by - here's something that you won't see everyday. Straight out of 1953, here's an amazing Kay M1B Double Bass Viol. It's a classic upright - and of course it sounds amazing.
An exquisite spruce top with stunning flame maple back and sides make this bass - this is a beautiful instrument. It has a very comfortable neck that players will feel good about using for long sets in smokey clubs (from smoke machines, as there isn't smoking indoors anymore, even in jazz clubs). Dig in and play hard, or lean back and chill - either way, this Kay upright bass will work for you.
You won't see many as nice as this one. It's in great condition, especially considering it's nearly 75 years old. Also, it comes with a high quality softshell case to protect it. Thankfully we have a tech here that is well-versed in instruments like this, so it has been vetted and is playing perfectly.
