Classic herringbone, East Indian rosewood, ebony and Sitka spruce in the shape that started it all: the Dreadnought.  Paired with Martin's most comfortable neck, vintage appointments, scalloped, forward-shifted bracing, and a lifetime of amazing playability. Powerful bottom end, rich tone, and strums that will fill the room—music history made new.

We just took in this beautiful HD-28, one of the best guitars in Martin's lineup.  It's in excellent condition, all original, and comes with the original hardshell case.  It has been vetted and setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  It's now currently one of the best sounding acoustics we have here!

A recreation of Martin's legendary herringbone-style 28 guitars, the HD-28 is based on the iconic pre-war dreadnought Martin guitar.  It features forward-shifted, scalloped X-bracing, which allows the Sitka spruce top to vibrate freely, creating booming volume and open tone. It also provides additional clarity on the high end, and punchy, more defined bass.
 
For anyone that knows the power of a Martin dreadnought and can appreciate the tasteful herringbone appointments, this is a true score.
