The Fender Hot Rod Deluxe is one of the most backlined amps in the world. Why? It has great tone and it's clean and overdrive channels provide an excellent bed of tone for any kind of playing. A supercharged amp decked out with player-requested features, this 40-watt 1x12" combo is ideal for guitarists who need hot-rodded power with performance to spare.
This is the chrome panel version, and built in 2004. It contains a 12" 8-ohm Fender Special Design Eminence speaker, fueled by a pair of 6L6 output tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. You get three channels, "normal", "drive" and "more drive" with gain and master controls for the "drive" channel and a "bright" switch for the "normal" channel. Other features include FX loop, Fender® long-spring reverb, external speaker jack, internal variable bias control, chrome panel with vintage pointer knobs, black textured vinyl covering and silver grille cloth.
This amp is in good condition. Over the past 20 years since it was built, this one was put to use for what it was intended, and cosmetically, it shows that - check out the photos. That also means it was built to withstand usage, which is the entire point of having a Hot Rod Deluxe! The amp functions perfectly and is ready to go for another 20 years.
