Here we have an exquisite archtop guitar from legendary builder D'Angelico. The EXL-1 is an homage to master-builder John D’Angelico’s original archtop design. This is one of the early models, as part of the premium Excel Series. It's quite the find for players that appreciate D'Angelico's commitment to quality and design of unique instruments.
The EXL-1 radiates sophistication through the use of a laminated spruce top, maple back, and unique stairstep tailpiece, pickguard and tuners. Its floating pickup design creates vibrant resonance, making it well-equipped for both full, smoky chords and intricate lead melodies.
