This is a professional-quality mandolin with everything you'd want, from its F-style body with scroll horn and F-holes, resonant chimey tones, and fantastic feel and vintage-style "hand-rubbed" Sunburst finish. All at a great price.
Every MD-315 is individually hand-crafted using traditional methods and all-solid tonewoods. Featuring a solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides, this mandolin delivers the percussive and woody resonance for bluegrass, folk, Celtic music, and more. The finish on this 2016 model is a thin, satin nitrocellulose lacquer that allows the wood to vibrate more freely than a heavy poly finish, making it a more open and responsive that will only improve and open in time.
The F-style body with its iconic scroll and points isn't just for looks, it provides mass and projection for that classic American mandolin sound. The radiused ebony fingerboard and adjustable ebony bridge are excellent appointments and you'll stay in tune with a set of quality gear tuners.
This mandolin is in great condition and comes with a gig bag. The techs in our shop have set it up, so it plays perfectly and is ready to go.
