We have an outstanding Gretsch G6128T '59 Vintage Select Duo Jet! This is incredible reissue of the iconic '59 Gretsch Duo Jet; Gretsch's solid body standout!
This guitar is prized for power, dynamics, and comfortable feel. You get a single-cut chambered mahogany body with an bounded arched maple top that is the perfect tonewood combination for punchy tones. It has a more compact body size than a Les Paul which is quite comfy especially for long periods of playing. The bound mahogany neck features a period-correct vintage "V" neck profile with an Ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, perfect for big bends and more. There is a bone nut for improved sustain and tuning stability and the fingerboard features pearloid inlays. This guitar also has a 24.6" (625 mm) scale that feels more snappy than longer scale lengths.
The main reason this is based on a 1959 Gretsch Duo Jet is that it was the first year they were built with the powerful Filter'Tron humbucking pickups. Of course this guitar is equipped with a pair of Filter'Tron pickups that bring thick punchy tones that are perfect for clean or distorted amp settings. This '59 Vintage Select Duo Jet comes with classic hardware such as its roller bridge, vintage-style tuners, and of course the legendary Bigsby tremolo for expressive bending.
This impressive instrument is in excellent condition and comes with its original hardshell case. It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop and is ready to go!
