Used 2001 Fender Standard Jazz Bass Fretless Midnight Wine

For the low end players don't fret, we have this awesome Fender Standard Jazz Bass Fretless from 2001. This is everything that you love from the classic design with a smooth fingerboard for all the tones. So whether its slides or micro tones, you are covered with this fine instrument.
This Jazz Bass comes with a poplar body in a striking Midnight Wine finish. This is a super cool color that Fender did for a period but no longer does, so you don't see many out there like this. A nice aftermarket touch is the black pearl pickguard (we think it looks way better than stock white pickguard). The bolt-on maple neck with a gloss polyester finish has a slim, comfy feel. It has a 34" scale length and bone nut which ensures reliable intonation and sustain. Enjoy the feel of its smooth rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius with white line fret markers. And, of course, the main point of this is that it's a fretless!
Dual single-coil Jazz Bass pickups with independent volume controls and master tone knob provide dynamic sonic range from warm lows to articulate highs. It's not meant to be a metal machine, but you can get heavy with it.
The bass has black nylon tapewound strings, which were put on the bass specifically for recording - the previous owner felt there were ideal for laying down fretless tracks in the studio. By the way, the previous owner was the bassist for Busticles and Above the Love. He's also the owner of Truetone. So this one has a little special pedigree going on, in a way....but what actually matters is that it's a super cool looking, great playing fretless Jazz bass!
This bass is in excellent condition and ready to go after being setup by the techs in our shop. It's nice find for anyone in the market for a fretless bass on a modest budget, and wants something unique.
