The first cutaway model introduced to Taylor’s American Dream Series, the AD24ce is a Grand Auditorium guitar crafted with solid sapele back and sides and a solid mahogany top. This versatile acoustic-electric boasts the comfortable dimensions and balanced, dynamic response that have made the Grand Auditorium body shape popular with so many types of players.

Comfort-enhancing design touches include chamfered body edges and Taylor’s slim-profile, hand-friendly neck. The hardwood mahogany top emphasizes midrange frequencies, yielding an all-around clarity, warmth and focus complemented by a natural compression effect that helps smooth out an aggressive attack. That sonic character makes the AD24ce an ideal choice for everything from recording and solo sessions to live performance alongside other musicians, where it will sit beautifully in a mix with other instruments.

ES2 electronics deliver clear, faithful tone for amplified situations, while the V-Class bracing inside improves volume, sustain and overall harmony. Earthy aesthetic touches include a tobacco color treatment that deepens the sapele/mahogany woodgrain, a shaded edgeburst top, back and sides with a heelburst neck, an ultra-thin, rustic-look matte finish that enhances the woody response, a eucalyptus fretboard and bridge, a firestripe pickguard, and Taylor nickel tuners.

This is the first Grand Auditorium model in the American Dream Series, and is a surefire winner right off the bat. It includes Taylor's excellent softshell case, called an AeroCase, which is a wonderful way to transport and protect the guitar.
