Pre Owned Torres Verb Drive Special Guitar Amp Combo With Footswitch and Cover

This Torres Engineering amp is a boutique, hand-wired tribute to one of the most coveted "Goldilocks" circuits in Fender history. Built by the legendary Dan Torres, a pioneer of the boutique amp movement, this combo captures the raw, touch-sensitivity of the Brownface-era (1961-1963) Vibrolux. Unlike the pristine headroom of the later Blackface models, this "Brown" clone lives in that glorious middle ground: it’s got a deeper, swampier tone and a "growlier" midrange that starts to break up into a harmonic-rich crunch much earlier on the volume dial.
Under the hood it features point-to-point hand-wiring and high-grade components housed in a solid finger-jointed pine cabinet. Pushing about 22-watts through a pair of KT77 power tubes, it delivers the perfect "club-sized" volume with enough to punch through a drummer with a clear, bell-like chime, but sweet enough to reach that legendary natural tube compression without being too loud. The 5AR4 rectifier adds just the right amount of "sag" and feel, making the amp incredibly responsive to your picking dynamics and guitar’s volume knob.
The control layout is classic and intuitive, usually featuring a Normal and Bright channel, each with its own Volume, Treble, and Bass controls. You get two different Jensen 10" speakers ( P10 and C10Q) to pump out those glorious tones and the different speakers provide a wider range than a matched pair. This Torres build offers a level of vintage vibes and durable construction that you just can't find in a mass-produced reissues.
If you're into boutique amps and want one on a great deal, this Torres is a great find. It's in good condition and ready for you!
