Up for sale is an exemplary Taylor custom acoustic, built from the ground up with premium specifications. Here, this fine Taylor comes in the ever popular Grand Auditorium shape, the perfect size for flatpicking and fingerstyle. Enjoy the resonant tones with beautiful articulation. The musicial instrument industry was able to bring NAMM back to Anaheim again in 2022, and Taylor was returned to hosting their annual "Catch Event". Held in an event space on the roof of a hotel overlooking the city, it provided dealers the opportunity to score one of a kind Taylor guitars. This Custom Grand Auditorium was one of the stars of the show.

The guitar features a premium Lutz Spruce top, with highly figured quilted maple back and sides embraced lovingly in an elegant Koi Blue finish. The top is further enhanced with the figured Hawaiian Koa binding. A superb maple neck with a comfortable 15" radius is balanced tonally with a vibrant Ebony fingerboard. Other premium touches include mother of pearl and abalone inlays, fiber purfling, and a exquisite aballone rosette around a bound soundhole. Again, be sure to view all of this closely in the photos.

This wonderful instrument has a full and well balanced tone. It has all of the clarify that you would expect from a Taylor Grand Auditorium with a suprising amount of power and projection. In terms of acoustic response, Lutz blends the positive characteristics of Sitka and White spruce and its close cousin, Engelmann spruce. The result is powerful sonic horsepower that translates into strong volume, projection and tonal richness. Players with a lively attack will enjoy the tonal output and headroom. The back & sides are maple, long been associated with a bright acoustic sound, but Taylor’s maple guitars are voiced to bring out greater warmth, richness and sustain. This broadens maple’s tonal range from a single-dimension sound to a more musical, more versatile voice. The clarity of the high end is still there, but the bottom end has been extended. The result is a more multi-dimensional sound that gives players the kind of musical versatility of other classic tonewoods, making our maple models a compelling choice as a primary guitar, not just a stage guitar.

This guitar is in mint condition and comes with its original custom Taylor case. It's obvious that the previous owner took great care of it, and it appears to have barely (if ever) been played. For fans of Taylor that want something unique, this could be the ultimate score.
