Pre Owned 1991 Robin Guitars Medley Custom Korina Natural With OHSC
We just scored one of the more interesting pre-owned guitars we've had in here for a while: this Medley Custom from Robin Guitars. This is a rare bird, and highly desired by collectors.
Since 1982, Robin Guitars has been crafting amazing guitars in Houston, TX. A small number in 1991 - 1992 were made with Korina bodies, and they've been hard to find ever since. Now that we have one here, we can see what the hype is all about - this is a flat out amazing guitar!
Featuring a Korina body, the natural finish looks great with the beautiful wood grain coming through. It has an easy to shred upon Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard, 25.5" scale and jumbo frets. Of course, part of what stands out is the reverse headstock. That's a definite attention getter. But not just about looks - it's about how sounds and functions too. The PJ Marx pickups are quite impressive - the humbucker in the bridge position gives you all of the power for riffing and searing leads, and the dual blade neck pickup cleans up quite nicely. Also, the guitar is outfitted with a Kahler tremolo for all of your dive bomb needs.
This Medley Custom is in excellent condition - there are a few small dings on the body, nothing major, especially considering it's now over 30 years old. It's definitely stood the test of time so far and will continue to do so. The frets have plenty of life in them as well. It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, and man, does it play like a dream!
The original hardshell case is included. This is a hard to find, complete package here - and likely to go fast!
