We have an incredible Martin guitar in stock with this Martin OM-28! This is one of Martin's flagship models and has been used by countless musicians. From Hank Williams to John Mayer, a wide variety of artists have chosen an OM-28 as their go-to acoustic of choice. There's a good reason - you get the best of Martin's craftmanship, tone wood selection, and hardware selection, on an easy to play acoustic that sounds amazing.
The OM in OM guitars stands for "Orchestra Model," and they are known for their versatility in playing various music styles such as folk, blues, jazz, and light strumming. These guitars have a balanced tone across the frequency spectrum, making them ideal for fingerstyle playing, and offer a well-rounded mix of bass and treble without being too boomy like dreadnoughts. It's ideal for players that want a smaller body acoustic with the longer 25.4" scale length.
This Martin OM-28 has a solid Sitka spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides. With this combination you get snappiness from the top with a warmth from the back and sides which leads to an excellent spectrum of tones with a special presence in the mids and highs. Its body size is more compact than a Dreanouht but still delivers good lows. This Martin orchestra model has a wider nut width giving it a comfy feel for fingerpicking and the mahogany neck has a warm sounding rosewood fingerboard. The neck has comfortable feel as well with the wider nut width. This Martin is equally with any style of playing but fingerpickers definitely benefit with this one.
Built in 2015, the guitar is still in good condition - there are marks on the body and some softening of the binding on the back - but plays and sounds excellent. It comes with its original hardshell case. The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly and it's ready for it's next home.
