The Jeffrey Foskett Collection - Vintage 1969 Guild Starfire VI Stereo
Truetone Music is proud to be partnered with the legendary musician and songwriter Jeffrey Foskett in offering instruments out of his collection. Each comes with a signed certificate verifying the authenticity of this instrument; assuring that it has been used on tour, in studio or personally by him. During his years with the Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, Ringo Starr and his own solo career, various instruments were used and very few have become available, until now.
One of the most interesting pieces from his collection is this vintage 1969 Guild Starfire VI Stereo with Bigsby. It's a rare guitar, especially in this finish, a custom color called Ebony Grain. There are others out there, but typically they are Sunburst, or solid Black. The Ebony Grain finish is transparent, so you see the wood grain coming through. There are few of these out there, and none that were used by Jeffrey Foskett during his years with the Beach Boys. It makes this one truly unique.
Not only is the guitar special in general, but this one in particular holds special pedigree. Jeffrey Foskett has owned and used it for years, and just recently decided to part with it. It's in excellent condition - much better than what one would expect. All of the parts are original, and it comes with the original hardshell case. The signed Certificate of Authenticity is included. As an added bonus, we've included a full box set of memorabilia and recordings, as follows:
