You can dial in the pristine '60s era Fender clean tones with the clean channel, warm and edgey '50s tweed tones with the Mean channel, and bring on cascading driven tones of an early Boogie amp with the Scream channel.
Each channel has it's own EQ section, Volume, and Gain. It's like having 3 classic amps on the fly.
This unit was a favorite of the legendary Jerry Garcia of The Grateful Dead. So if you want that Jerry tone (or just killer tone in general), and dig the versatility of an amp like this, it's a great find.
