First introduced in the 1950s, the Duo Jet is the flagship Gretsch "solid body" guitar and brings you its punch and power from its chambered mahogany body with incredible tonal richness with its semi-hollow resonance to give you a more open, livelier, and articulate tone. During its original production run Gretsch produced a very small run of Duo Jets in this classy uptown Cadillac Green finish with gold hardware, making this reissue a real treasure.
This guitar is packed with dual TV Jones T-Armond pickups that excellently bring you those vintage DynaSonic sounds. You'll love its comfortable set mahogany neck with its comfortable "U" shaped neck with a 12" radius which is a distinct feel from other neck shapes. You've got a rosewood fingerboard adorned with vintage pearloid Hump-Block position marker inlays with 22 medium jumbo frets. You've got plenty of control over your sound with a Master Volume, individual pickup volumes, a Master Tone controls with a 3-way pickup selector.
All of the appointments are here of what put not only the Duo Jet but Gretsch themselves as one of the most iconic electric guitar makers ever. Come experience a piece of musical history.
