Pre Owned Gibson Yamano Les Paul Classic Plus Honeyburst With OHSC
Over the years, Gibson has put out some amazing guitars. The desirability of some tend to jump, and that's the case with Yamano Les Pauls. For those that don't know, Yamano is Gibson's Japanese distributor. Players know that these guitars are the epitome of quality, featuring the finest tops, fingerboards, and tone woods, as each instrument is carefully selected, showcasing only the cream of the crop.
Here we have a Les Paul Classic Plus, built for Yamano in the year 2000. Modeled after the Les Paul Classic, which was in turn based off of the 1960 Les Paul, the Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus was manufactured for short period and has been in demand ever since. The Classic Plus, like the Classic, features two exposed 496R/500T humbucking pickups, but features a flamed maple top instead of a plain one. Besides the beautiful top, the main calling card is the slim neck profile. It's sleek, thin and easy to play. It's one of the more comfortable necks on a Les Paul that we've had here. So much so that a few of the crew members here starting saying "I want this" as soon as it came in.
The pickups in this guitar are modern sounding and great for aggressive tone. In the neck position, you get a 496R "Hot Ceramic", which features a ceramic magnet and provides high output with enhanced sustain and definition for lead playing. In the bridge position, you get a 500T "Super Ceramic", which is one of Gibson's most powerful pickups, designed for high-gain styles. It offers a hot, aggressive tone with high output and a modern "crisp" sound. Together, they make for a great set.
You'll notice that this Les Paul doesn't have the pickguard attached, but it is included in the case.
This Les Paul Classic Plus is in excellent condition, especially considering it's age. The original hardshell case is included. Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready for it's next home.
