We just took in an amazingly nice Gibson Custom Shop ES-359 in Vintage Sunburst - this one is a true stunner. For anyone in the market for one of these, you know how hard they are to find, especially in such good condition as this one.

The ES-359 is a Memphis-made Gibson semi-hollow body that's a higher-end take on the ES-339. What sets the ES-359 apart is its gold hardware, Grover tuning pegs, and an ebony fingerboard with large mother-of-pearl block inlays to accentuate the classic elements of this innovative guitar’s appearance. The model has become a favorite for players that are used to a solid body guitar like a Les Paul but want the tone and vibe of a semi-hollow. The thinline design and solid maple center block reduce feedback, and its smaller shape is very ergonomic and easy to keep strapped on for hours. It's very comfortable to play, with it's 60's Slim neck profile, 12" radius and smooth ebony fingerboard.

This is a flexible tone machine with edge and bite at any volume. The '57 Classic humbuckers sound full, rich and are extremely expressive. The guitar has the Memphis Tone Circuit, which preserves the high frequencies as the volume is decreased. It's a very versatile guitar that can work in a variety of settings.

Gibson's Memphis factory produced some of the greatest ES models in the history of the company. The ES-359 was part of their Custom product line from 2008 to 2016; this particular one was made in 2014. It appears that the previous owner barely played it, as 8 years later it looks like it just came out of the factory. It's super clean. The guitar has been vetted and setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. The original hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity are included. It's the complete package, in primo condition, and quite the score!
