We usually don't like to see guitars coming back to us (we want everyone to enjoy what they get here, for eternity) but sometimes life takes a turn and the bus comes back around the block - and with some guitars, that makes us really happy, as we were sad to see them go. This is one of them.
The Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard is an exceedingly accurate replica of the original model. Years of meticulous research and development by the Custom Shop's team have resulted in the reproduction of every element of the iconic guitar, including precise laser-scanned dimensions, chemically-recreated plastics, and color-matched sunburst shades. This unparalleled level of detail makes it the ultimate choice for fans seeking authenticity and accuracy. It's the epitome of cool, and a true representation of the original model.
This one in particular has a VOS finish in the classic color of Iced Tea Burst, with a stunning flame maple top. It's lightweight for a Les Paul, at just 8.3 lbs, and super resonant. Even unplugged, it sings. Once plugged in, the unpotted Custombuckers sound amazing, providing the exact tone you'd want from a '59 Les Paul. There's no way to describe in just words, but those that know, well, they know.
The guitar came to us from one of our favorite regular customer, who keeps all of his gear in pristine shapen - this one is no exception. It's in excellent condition, and comes with the original case and paperwork. It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. In fact, the tech that set it up almost bought it for himself! But, in the end, here it is, available for you. We don't think it will last long.
