Pre Owned Fender Crafted in Japan Telecaster TL-Zebra Natural Zebrawood With OHSC

Back in the early days of the 21st centuary (feels weird to say that, but we are in the second quarter of the century now), the Japanese arm of Fender came out with a super unique run of guitars that included this model, know as the TL-Zebra. We've never had one till now. We've actually never seen a Telecaster exactly like this. As soon as it entered the door here, we were in love.
This isn't a catalog piece, it was done as a special run and is rather rare. We don't know the exact number made but we do know that there are very few our there.
The main calling card is that the guitar is that the body has a mahogany core sandwiched by zebrawood for the top and back. Yes, zebrawood - that's definitley something you don't see often. It's not just a beautiful exotic wood that is quite eye-catching, it's also a great tonewood. Builders like for it's even balance, bringing warmth with present low mids and tight bass response, mixed with treble articulation that helps the guitar sing.
It's not just about looks of course; this is a truly great playing Telecaster. The neck profile is a very comfortable medium C shape, measuring .860 - .945". It's not a fat neck but it's also not super skinny - this would has a great vintage grip that still allows fast playing. It's a traditional maple neck witha rosewood fretboard. The strings are anchored by F-stramped Schaller tuners and a classic Tele bridge with steel barrel saddles.
This guitar is loaded with American Vintage pickups that have Alnico V magnets, bringing a bright and sparkly tone to the table, with a nice ability to warm up. The neck pickup brings the fullness, the bridge pickup brings the twang, and overall you have a truly classic setup for wonderful Tele tone.
This one is in excellent condition, has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, and comes with the original case. A Zebrawood Tele is quite the find and not to be slept on.
