Pre Owned 2025 Fender Custom Shop Wildwood 10 1959 Telecaster NOS Vintage White With OHSC
As a Fender Custom Shop Showcase dealer (the highest level), we get a lot of amazing guitars here. Sometimes we get one that originally was at another shop, that really impresses us. This is that situation - we just took in this sweet 1959 Telecaster NOS that was built as a Wildwood 10. Therefore, of course, it has the 10" radius.
1959 was the year that Fender introduced rosewood fretboards, so this guitar is a throwback to when this was first done. The guitar features a light alder body (the whole guitar weighs in at just 7.1 lbs) with a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The Vintage White color gives it a great old school vibe. This one is an NOS piece, so there's no aging or wear.
The roasted quartersawn maple neck with a 60 Style Oval "C" (.790 - .930") profile is super comfortable. The rosewood fretboard has a 10" radius and narrow tall (6105) frets, which accommodates diverse playing styles and make it easy to bend in the higher register. It's a real pleasure guitar to play.
The guitar is loaded with Custom Shop Handwound Josefina Twisted Tele pickups. You get a higher ouput with classic Tele tone plush a nice splash of Strat sparkle., with even balance and excellent articulation. This is a custom set - they are underwound and utilize Alnico II magnets. They have increased touch sensitivity and dynamics. The bridge pickup has shorter bobbins, so it warms up, and the neck pickup has taller bobbins, to liven it up. The end result is that you can get all of the jangle, chime and shine you want, while retaining warmth and roundess. It's a great set.
The modern ergonomic design combines vintage aesthetics with playability refinements. The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly, and the guitar is super clean. The previous owner barely played it. Includes original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.
The original owner had put a a 3-ply white pickguard on, but thankfully kept the original 3-ply mint green pickguard. We put the original back on, so now the guitar comes with ane extra pickguard. If you want the white one on there, just say the word and we'll swap it back.
