Pre Owned Fender Custom Shop Poblano Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic Aged Natural With OHSC

We just took in a super cool, super unique guitar: this Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Poblano Stratocaster.  There's a lot going on with this one so check it out!

Right off the bat, you'll notice the Super Heavy Relic treatment - if you're into spotless shiny guitars, this isn't the one for you, but if you like them looking like they've been through hell, this is it.  It's an Aged Natural finish, so no additional paint on there....this is just wood (ash body).  It looks killer.  Also, this one is rather light, coming in at just 7.5 lbs.

The roasted quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable Large "C" profile that provides a nice grip.  It's topped by a dark rosewood fingerboard, designed for lead work with a 9.5" radius and Jumbo frets. We were really digging how well it plays.

At the heart of the beast are the all-new handwound Ancho Poblano pickups specially designed to deliver spicy expressive tones that get progressively hotter from neck to bridge. The middle and neck pickups are uniquely calibrated from string to string for enhanced solo work, while the flat-pole bridge pickup delivers a powerful toneful punch. Each pickup is individually hand wound and potted with secret “Custom Shop sauce” to curb microphonics while preserving an open yet focused tone.

By moving the selector switch, players can unlock throaty Ancho Poblano tone while taking their output from warm (in the neck position) to scorching hot (in the bridge position).  Unlike the neck and middle pickups, which feature custom staggered alnico 3 pole pieces, the bridge pickup also sports flush-mount alnico 5 pole pieces for plenty of quack in the second position.

Other features include a vintage-style bridge and tuning machines, bone nut, and 3-ply black pickguard. It comes with the original deluxe hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
