We have a special Stratocaster here - a Truetone exclusive model that has become a staple here.  This guitar's design has some history - it was originally spec'ed out with a legendary heavy metal master while on an island in the Pacific.  No joke.  Contact us for the full story.
We're not sure which grabs your attention more: the highly figured ash body with an Ebony Transparent finish, or the all rosewood neck.   The anodized gold pickguard also pops out.  So it's hard to pick!  It's the combination of all of this that creates a stunning guitar.
 
Of course, it's not just about the aesthetics.  It's about the feel and sound of the guitar - and this one has "it".  The mid-60's Oval "C" neck shape is super comfortable and very smooth to play with the smooth feel of the rosewood neck.  The back of the neck has a satin lacquer finish, which makes it a treat to move fast on, as you won't get "stuck" on it.  Also, note that there's no skunk stripe.  It's topped with a super dark rosewood fretboard that has been buffed to enhance the shine and smoothness.  It sports a 9.5" radius and 6105 frets for easy bending.   Those are the only "modern spec" changes we went with - everything else is period correct.  It's also noticibly resonant unplugged, always a great sign of the overall tone of the guitar.  Speaking of plugging in....
  
The guitar is loaded with Custom Shop 60's Strat pickups, which recreate the early 60's Strat sound that is known and love by players all over.  You'll be able to get the clean, glassy highs that Strats are known for, with a solid low end and just enough mid-range punch to cut through the mix.  We chose the Vintage Modified # 2 wiring setup.  This features a master volume, tone # 1 (neck & middle pickups), and tone # 2 (bridge) with treble bleed (for keeping mids and rolling off highs without adding bass).  This Strat is versatile, and sounds downright amazing.
 
It's in great shape - it was barely played by the previous owner and still looks new.  The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.
