For those '50s Fender Strat fans we have this awesome Fender American Vintage II 1957 Stratocaster in Sea Foam Green! This reissue represents pivotal year for the Strat featuring the refined curves, the "V" neck profile, and the sparkling tonal chime that defined the era of Buddy Holly and the birth of rock 'n' roll.
The heart of this '57 Strat is its solid alder body, finished in a period-correct gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. Unlike modern polyurethane finishes, nitro allows the wood to breathe and will age gracefully over time giving it its unique character of a vintage instrument. The Sea Foam Green finish is an iconic "Custom Color" of the 1950s. The neck is a standout feature for vintage lovers. It is carved from a single piece of maple into a 1957 Soft "V" profile. This shape provides a comfortable anchor for the thumb while remaining slim enough for fast lead playing. True to the original era, it features a 7.25" fingerboard radius and vintage-tall frets.
For electronics, this Strat is packed with the Pure Vintage '57 Single-Coil Strat pickups. These are wound to exacting 1957 specifications, utilizing Alnico V magnets and cloth-covered wire to produce the "bell-like" highs, scooped mids, and round lows that made the Stratocaster famous. It features a modern 5-way switch allowing you to easily access those "in-between" positions (2 and 4) that players in the 50s had to cheat the switch to find.
Every detail has been accounted for, from the single-ply parchment pickguard to the synchronized tremolo with cold-rolled steel block and "Fender Pat. Pend." stamped saddles. The bone nut and vintage-style single-line Fender Deluxe tuners keeps this guitar in tune.
This instruement is in excellent condition - the previous owner kept it clean. It comes with its original hardshell case and paperwork. Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready to go!
