This impressive shredder was built outside of San Francisco (Burlingame to be exact) by Chandler, a company that made a variety of instruments from 1980 to 2000. They were well known for Fender-esque builds, until starting to do lap steels in the mid-90's. This one has more of a Charvel vibe. We just took it in and are quite impressed.
Hold on to the comfortable contours of its sleek, and familiar double-cutaway alder body with a vibrant purple Metallic Burgundy Mist finish that really shines. The bolt-on maple neck comes with a rosewood fingerboard with white dots. For those 80's headstock lovers this one comes with the iconic hockey stick headstock with six-in-line black Sperzel tuners with logo on back. And yes, it's a fast player thanks to the slim neck. Not insanely skinny, but definitely designed for those that want to rip it up.
Enjoy the pristine clean and chime from the neck pickup that can also dirty up paired with an aggressive humbucker in the bridge with lots of output for searing leads. This guitar has a wide range of tones to explore and you can do so with its volume and tone controls and pickup selector. Get expressive with its vintage-style black tremolo bridge. And it comes will all black hardware too, just as a guitar like this should.
So if you're a fan of 80's-style S-body guitars this Chandler is perfect. With a twist too! This Super Strat is in good condition with some player wear and dings but nothing major, and nothing that impacts the playability or sound. Of course it still sings.
