Pre-Owned 2023 Cream Guitars Voltage Standard - Galaxy Purple Sparkle With OHSC

The guitar world is mainly populated by legacy brands, and over the years there have been a ton of newer ones that simply recreate or do mashups of historic instruments. Rarely do we see anything "different" come out - but that's exactly what we've seen with Cream Guitars. From the first time we saw their attention grabbing display at NAMM, to the first time one came through our doors, we knew they had something special going on.
Cream has challenged themselves to build guitars with their own unique look, great ergonomics, reliable components and, of course signature tones. They are proudly a Mexican company, based in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Mastermind behind these guitars, Luis Ortiz, CEO and designer, had the idea to break all the rules of the traditional guitar. From the look, the tones, the finishes, the feel of a traditional guitar... te idea was very clear: the evolution of the guitar.
Cream Guitars were created by rethinking every part of an electric guitar to broaden and enhance your playing experience and enjoyment. That's what we're seeing with this Voltage Standard, built in 2023. These can be hard to find here in the U.S.
We're not sure what you'll notice first, the body shape or the finish. Perhaps it's both at the same time. At first glance, the general shape will seem familiar but then you'll see that it's own creation. You get a solid mahogany body and neck, capped with a rosewood freboard. The scale length of 25.5" will feel familiar, and the guitar is super comfortable to play with Modern C profile.
Of course it's crazy Purple Galaxy finish that will cause your eyes to not be able to pull away. It's simply stunning. Of course the photos look great, but in person it's even more captivating.
More unique twists are the headstock design and the Resonance Plate on the back to enhance sustain and vibration. We love how they do the headstock - it's a simple but nice touch.
Of course, it's really about how the guitar sounds, and it does sound amazing. You get a classic combination of Seymour Duncan humbuckers - a JB in the bridge position and a '59 PAF in the neck. So classic tones and high-gain versatility awaits. The guitar has a 3-way toggle switch, with push/pull volume pots for coil-tapping to switch between humbucker and single-coil sounds. You can split either or both pickups, creating a wealth of sounds at your fingertips.
Other features include a Graphtech Ratio locking tuners, a Tusq XL nut and a Resomax NV2 bridge. A very nice hardshell case, made specficially for this guitar, is included.
This Cream Voltage Standard is really something to behold. Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, this one is ready to go. It's in excellent condition - the previous owner took great care of it. This guitar is already getting a ton of attention here, and we don't think it will last long!
