We have an incredible PRS here - we've had some amazing guitars from Maryland's finest over the years, but this one really jumps out as beyond special. We're excited to present this Private Stock Special Semi-Hollow body with a stunning Macassar Ebony top. We've never seen one quite like. This Private Stock guitar was built in 2022 and is hands down one of the most striking PRS guitars we've seen.
The chambered body of this PRS Private Stock Special comes with a Guanacaste body with a Macassar Ebony Top and an stylish "F"-hole. These two tone woods combine for robust, delightfully warm acoustic tones with plenty of clarity and both feature exquisite grain patterns. The top and the neck elegantly bound with koa. The Macassar neck comes with a comfy Pattern neck shape and satin finish with a Macassar truss rod cover. It has an Ebony fingerboard with koa bird inlays with mother-of-pearl outlines for a distinguished look for the fingerboard. The bone nut helps with tuning stability and sustain.
You are set with a wide range of tones from this PRS Private Stock with three-distinct pickups. A 58/15 LT TCI in the neck and bridge give thick robust humbucker tones that are also articulate. There is a Narrowfield mini humbucker in the middle for snappier, crispier tones. Simple but effective controls make it easy to dial in your favorite sounds. A volume and tone control with a 5-way selector and two mini-switches (for tapping the humbuckers) are all you need.
The PRS Gen III tremolo is an expressive bridge that maintains intonation and gives excellent sustain. The gold open-gear tuners keep you in tune with ease with large ebony buttons. All of the hardware features the smoked black gold style for the complete look.
This is a rare PRS not to be missed. The guitar is in excellent condition - the previous owner took great care of it as a premium piece. It comes with its original hardshell case and as well as the original spec sheet and letter signed by Paul Reed Smith. The techs in our shop have vetted and given the guitar a full setup, so it plays perfectly.
