This is an incredible semi-hollow guitar that has defined what a great semi-hollow body instuement is. It's no wonder why countless players have used the ES-335 as their main guitar because its the perfect blend of classic archtop construction with more wood, including a maple centerblock, to give you an instrument perfect for any style of music, regardless of how much, or little gain you're playing with. Throw in an excellent player upgrade of an expressive Bigsby tremolo and it expands this guitar's versatility.
Built with a chameberd body of a 3-ply AAA Figured Maple/Poplar/Maple configuration, quarter-sawn Adirondack spruce bracing, and a solid maple center block, this instrument provides excellent acoustic resonance, while still being quite feedback resistant. The top and sides are especially figured with an almost flamed look. It features a tasty cream binding on the top, back, and neck. The mahogany set neck has comfy rounded "C" profile with a rosewood fingerboard with block inlays and 12" radius, and it comes with 22 medium-jumbo frets, perfect for big bends. The GraphTec nut provides stability and sustain while the vintage-style Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons keep you in tune with ease.
Packed with a pair of Calibrated T-Type humbuckers, you get thick, full tones that are articulate and provide a wealth of tones whether cranked up with copious amounts of gain or kept clean. Whether it's sweet clean jazz tones or ripping leads or riffs, these pickups deliver! It's super easy to dial-in your favorite sounds with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup and its 3-way selector. And its equipped with high-end appointments like a hand-wired control assembly with Orange Drop capacitors to maintain excellent tones.
The tune-o-matic ABR-1 Bridge gives you sustain and stability and the addition of a Bigsby tremolo adds another dimension of expression. Throw in a super cool "Custom Made" badge on the trem to make this a real standout from the standard.
