Here's something you may have never seen! It's a Fender Tenor Tele - this is a prototype build that a customer of ours got from an executive at Fender, and has now made it's way here.
It first glance, the Butterscotch Blonde and Black pickguard look seems familiar.....then you may notice it's size and reduced number of strings. Then you'll notice the fact that it's only a single pickup (so really, it's more like an Esquire, but it does say "Tenor Tele" on the headstock). You'll also see that it has just a single knob. Simplicity in its finest form is already part of a Telecaster's appeal - and this one takes it further.
There's no official info out there on this and Fender didn't go through with a full run of this exact version. It's a rare bird. So, this is great for looking for an "affordable collectible", but also it's great just for the sake of the story. More than anything, it's just a really cool guitar!
Having a Tenor Tele brings a whole another element to any collection. Whether this is for home usage, studio or live, it's a great way to add depth to the arsenal without costing a fortune. The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop and is ready to go!
