The Gibson X-Plorer Studio features a thin satin nitrocellulose finish that develops a natural, worn-in character over time and increased "open-ness" of the guitar. This guitar is crafted from solid mahogany with a sharp angular, offset body and produces warm, rich tones. The comfortable mahogany neck comes with a '50s rounded profile which offers a thicker comfy feel in the hands.
It is packed with a powerful set of humbuckers; a 490R at the neck and 498T at the bridge. These pickups are perfect for any playing style and offers a versatile range of tones. However, it should be noted that these truly excel with distorted settings. So whether its soaring leads or heavy riffage this is great guitar to have in hand.
