Pre Owned 2008 Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Relic Daphne Blue With Case
For those that appreciate a vintage vibe in a classic color, on a great deal, we present this Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Relic in Daphne Blue. We just took this one in, and it's a true winner.
Inside and out the '60 Strat is a detailed recreation its Kennedy-era ancestor. It features an alder body, '60's C-shaped maple neck and rosewood fretboard. This is a period correct Strat, featuring the original 7.25" radius and vintage frets, vintage style tremolo and tuners. The pickup design is faithful to the original, producing a characteristically smooth and glass tone. The Custom Shop even replicated the finish undercoating and wiring routing on the body.
The guitar has the Custom Shop's amazing Relic treatment on a "Thinskin" nitrocellulose lacquer finish, showing what would be years of natural wear and tear - nicks, scratches, worn finish and authentically aged parts. This Strat looks, feels and plays like it has taken to life on the road with many long nights on stage, being utilized exactly as Leo Fender intended.
Everything is original on the guitar. It came to us without the original case, so we paired it with a case we had on hand, which is a limited edition 70th Anniversary Strat case, made by G&G for Fender this year. It's tweed with a red plush interior (super nice!). There was no COA but if requested upon purchase, we can get one from the Custom Shop.
This Custom Shop Strat was built in 2008, recently came to us, and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. It's ready to go!
