Pre Owned 2005 Fender Custom Shop 1960’s Telecaster Closet Classic Inca Silver With Case
At first glance, it's another stunning Fender Custom Shop Tele. Take a second look, and it jumps out as quite different, due to a modification. Guitars like this always interest us, and we quickly realized that there are a lot of players out there that like tweaks like this. That's not to mention how cool this guitar is anyway.
The previous owner of this 2005 Custom Shop 60's Tele made a major change: he had the pickup selector moved to the top front of the guitar and a 4-way switch installed. This mod has been done for years, and it's pretty easy to see why - it's very useful for players that change settings a lot, or those that have a tendency to hit the switch in its normal placement. We haven't come across a Tele with this change in some time, and definitely haven't on a Custom Shop build like this one. Having a 4-way switch is a nice upgrade as well. Here's what you get for each position:
1. Bridge / 2. Bridge + Neck (Parallel) / 3. Neck / 4. Bridge + Neck (Series)
Additionally, the guitar was further modified with a pickup swap. The guitar has a Lace Sensor neck pickup, and a Seymour Duncan Little ‘59 bridge pickup. These modifications give you some different tonal options than normal. And if you want to restore it, the original pickups are included in the case.

It's topped with a dark rosewood fretboard, with a 9.5" radius and 6150 Jumbo frets, for easy bending without fretting out. The guitar has an alder body, and is lightweight, coming in at just 7.3 lbs.
The Custom Shop did this one in Inca Silver, with a Closet Classic finish. It's aged, with some really nice finish checking, but without any relic'ing. It came out nicely, and has been kept in excellent shape since then.
The guitar comes with the original hardshell case as well as the Certificate of Authenticity. It's a great playing, killer sounding Tele, with some nice mods in place. We don't see it lasting long!
