Pre Owned 2007 Fender Made in Japan Jaguar Bass Hot Rod Red With Gig Bag

Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

Back in 2006, Fender unleashed an animal not yet seen in the wild - the Jaguar Bass.  Introduced at that year's NAMM show, it immediately garnered a ton of attention.  The company that invented the electric bass and created the sound heard around the world, now had a new platform.  Designed with a body shape familiar to guitarists but not bassists, it screamed a 1960's vibe while also being totally modern.  Best of all, it provided a tonal range similar to a Jazz bass but with so much more to offer.

Made in Japan, the sleek and fast-playing Jaguar Bass quickly became a must-have instrument with a wealth of tonal options and active/passive control features.

The bass has a super resonant an alder body, C-shaped maple neck, 7.25"-radius rosewood fretboard with 20 medium jumbo frets and aged white pearloid block inlays.  This one is in the original finish of Hot Rod Red, with a matching headstock as the cherry on top.  While Fender offered other colors over time, this one is known as THE one to have.

Dual vintage-style single-coil Jazz Bass pickups, together with dual tone circuits (passive and active) give you glorious Fender bass tone.  The lower horn control plate has on/off slide switches for each pickup and series/parallel slide switch (operates only when both pickups are on).  The upper horn control plate with active/passive slide switch and dual active-circuit tone control wheels (treble and bass),  You also get the classic Jazz Bass configuration of master control knobs (volume, tone).  Tonally, the options feel endless.

A vintage-style bridge with four threaded steel saddles, vintage-style tuners, nickel/chrome hardware and rear-mounted quick-release battery compartment round out the specs of this bass.

Fender only made this model for a handful of years, and while they've done other Jaguar basses, this version has become the most sought after.  This in particular is in excellent condition - it's super clean.  The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.  It's ready for it's next home!
