Pre-Owned 2006 Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Yuriy Shishkov Jeff Beck Esquire - Olympic White With Case

We have quite the special guitar here - a Fender Custom Masterbuilt Jeff Beck Esquire. You don't see many of these around, especially not at this price. It's only the second time we've had one in here, and last time it went quickly.
The Jeff Beck Esquire Relic is an exact reproduction of the Esquire used by Beck during his tenure with the Yardbirds, and is one of the most significant guitars in rock & roll history. It can be heard on songs such as "Heart Full of Soul," "Shapes of Things," and "I'm Not Talking". The look, and modifications, made it a truly iconic guitar. The original is currently owned by Seymour Duncan and is on loan to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
In 2006, the Fender Custom Shop launched this limited edition run of 150 pieces. Each Masterbuilder made a certain number. This one in particular was done by the legendary Yuriy Shishkov. To this day, he is one of the most in demand Masterbuilders. Yuriy's guitars fetch a premium - and to come across a Jeff Beck Equire built by him is quite the find.
This build recreates the original guitar's light weight, unusual body contours, dings and wear patterns. The ash body is super light - this guitar is just 6.0 lbs. It's comfortable to play, with a '57 Soft V neck profile that has been aged to perfection. Other features include a chipped black pickguard and brass bridge saddles (with which Beck had replaced the original steel saddles soon after buying the guitar).
Another Fender legendy was responsible for the tone: Abigail Ybarra. She carefully recreated the single '51 ''Nocaster'' single-coil bridge pickup. The guitar's authenticity extends even to the control wiring. Everything is spot on. As the story goes Beck himself was almost fooled when the first of this run arrived at his door, thinking that he'd gotten his original guitar back!
The guitar comes with a Fender hardshell case. The original case (a large metal flight case with Beck's name stenciled on it) did not come with the guitar when we got it. Nor did the COA or other accessories. Unfortunately those items are not part of the package - the price reflects this. This is the lowest price of this model available anywhere, and is a great deal for anyone that is serious about owning one.
This Custom Shop Masterbuilt Jeff Beck Esquire is in excellent condition....it's an exact reproduction that duplicates the weight, neckshape, dings and wear patterns of the original guitar. It has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. It's quite the score, that's for sure.
