Featuring the iconic symmetrical double-cutaway mahogany construction that defined the original 1958 design. This one is in charcoal gray which is a rarer finish you see these days.
Built on a solid mahogany body with the distinctive Coronet double-cutaway silhouette, this 1998 Epiphone delivers time-tested construction and tonal character. The glued-in mahogany neck features a comfortable medium C profile. The neck comes with a bounded rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and a 12" radius for a smooth feel with a slightly shorter 24.724" scale. The fingerboard is adorned with block inlays, for easy visibility. The headstock features the classic wavy six-in-line design with inlayed logo and "Coronet" truss rod cover.
This Epiphone Coronet comes with a winning combination of two distinct pickups. In the bridge position you get an OBL humbucker which provides thick tones that are great for clean playing or heavier gain. The neck pickup is an OBL single-coil to give you glassy, jangly tones. With both of these pickups you have a wide range of tones to choose from. Easily dial-in your favorite sounds with a Master Volume, Master Tone controls, and 3-way selector switch. Hardware includes a tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, nickel-finished tuning machines, and a white butterfly pearloid pickguard.
