Pre Owned 1996 Fender MIM Roland Stratocaster Sunburst Modded Guitar With Gig Bag
Back in the glory days of the mid 1990's, Fender partnered with Roland to create a Strat that could achieve synth-like sounds via a proprietary electronics system installed in the guitar. It was known as the Roland Ready Strat, and Fender covered two price points with versions made in American and Mexico. They became minor hits. They also were often modified heavily. Over time, we've seen some come through, and sometimes the special electronics don't work perfectly (remember, this was over a quarter century ago). However, we don't let that ruin a perfectly good guitar, and we convert it to "standard". That's what this is right here.
In the end, this is simply a great Strat at a great price, vetted and setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. It's wired as a regular Strat - to be clear, the synth options is not an option (unless you choose to do your own surgery and bring the beast back to life).
Overall, it's in excellent shape, as it appears that the previous owner barely ever played it. So if you're in the market for a quality Strat at a budget price, you've found it!
