We just took in a wonderful piece of Fender's long, storied history - the first anniversary model celebrating the birth of the Stratocaster. In 1994, Fender released the Limited Edition 40th Anniversary 1954 Strat. It was one of several models done at the time, but the only one that was meant to replicate the true look, feel and sound of the original '54 Strat. That has made this version the more desirable one. Only 1,954 were made - here we have number 1,100.

A commemorative player ready for a showcase or stage, the Fender Limited Edition 40th Anniversary 1954 Reissue Stratocaster ups the ante with a select ash body, gradual V-shape maple neck, and warm '54 Vintage single-coil pickups. The chunkier neck was built to the specs of the original models from the first run, giving a comfortable grip while running up and down the rosewood fretboard. Finished in a nitrocellulose two-tone sunburst with a commemorative neckplate, this custom shop dime piece is an attractive high-end option for any Fender enthusiast.

The guitar is in excellent condition, especially considering its age. Everything is original, but it appears that the tuners were replaced (original tuners are included). Also included is the original case, strap and some of the case candy/paperwork. It has been vetted and setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.

The 40th Anniversary '54 Strat is a hard one to find, and they are rarely ever in as good of shape as this one. We're pretty excited to have it here and look forward to putting it into someone's collection!
