There may be 30 years of amp innovation between the year this amp was built (1993) and the original year of production (1963), but this amp is wholly a 40-watt Fender masterpiece. Behold this Fender '63 Vibroverb from 1993!
The brownface era of Fender amps is the bridge between the overdriven charm of the Tweed era and the sweet sparkly of the early '60s Blackface era. This reissue brings you big Fender tone with 40-watts of power pumping through 2x10" speakers which gives you exceptional clean tones that have just a hint of grit when cranked up and a warmth all its own.
This '63 Vibroverb Reissue is powered by two 6L6s for plenty of clean headroom and 12AX7 preamps to give it the edge that makes it distinct from the later Blackface era amps. This reissues pay homage to Fender's roots and honors the legacy of these short transition era amps. There are two channels to choose from; a Normal input and the appropriately named Bright channel. The vintage versions of these are rarer than other eras as it was tight production history. So if you want an amp that has plenty of power this is the one! This Fender '63 Vibroverb comes with lush tube reverb and is perfect for any playing style and settings with plenty of inputs. You have plenty of control over your tone.
As an added bonus, this one features a nice upgrade: it has a pair of Warehouse G10C/S speakers. Warehouse makes great speakers, and this particular model is a favorite. With its smooth cone and larger motor, it offers a slightly rounder top end and smooth breakup when driven hard while maintaining the punch and clarity you already love in a 10" speaker. It's really great for taming the top end in bright amps with its warm sound and depth in tone. The G10C/S also remains one of the most pedal-friendly tens in their line.
The amp was recently serviced by our amp tech, has been vetted, and is ready to go. It's in good condition - while definitely been utilized as intended, and showing some wear, none of it is major, and it's pretty clean. A new AC cord has been installed. Designed as a reissue of an amp 30 years prior, it has made it 30 years and is ready for the next 30!
