Vintage 1970 Marshall Model 1987T Lead (Tremolo) 50-watt Guitar Amp Head

Originally released in 1966 and in production until1973, the 1959T was a 100 watt head (Plexi 1966 to 1969, Aluminum faceplate after that). The 50 watt model is 1987T, known as the “small box” version, and is quite rare - that's what we have here. The small box was made so that it could be used with the Marshall 4x10 cabinets. Ever since then, players have been on the hunt.
For authentic vintage rock sounds, it's hard to beat this. We just took the amp in, had it serviced, and are excited to present it. Made in the United Kingdom in 1970, it has stood the test of time. Be sure to read the notes below and check out all of the photos.
- Replaced output transformer from 1990
- Rubber feet changed
- Tremolo doesn't work (quite common with these)
- Replaced switches, red filter capacitors and plate resistors
- Hardwired for 120V
