Vintage 1965 Epiphone Olympic Cherry Single Pickup Electric Guitar With Original Case

Used And Vintage

You want a vintage piece that is exceptionally simple to rock? Behold this Epiphone Olympic!  It's quite the find in this condition, especially with some significant mods that improve upon it quite a bit.

This guitar features one single-coil pickup with a volume and tone control - simple, easy to dial in, and all that you need.  This a slab mahogany body with two cutaways for easy access to the whole fingerboard. The Olympic has a slim vintage '60s neck profile with a rosewood fingerboard, and is super comfortable to play.  The guitar was recently refretted, so it plays better than any vintage Olympic we've come across.

The main upgrade is that it has a Curtis Novak MM90 pickup (the original Epiphone pickup is included in the case).  This stealth P-90 was made to drop right in, so no surgery or routing was necessary.  For anyone wanting a classic clean tone that brings back the era from where this guitar hails, the Novak pickup nails it.

This one also features an upgraded Music City bridge, which is an other improvement.  And, the knobs were replaced.  The tuners and other parts are original.  Also, the original chipboard case is included.

We noticed how easy it is to play and how light it is - this guitar weighs in at 5.4 lbs.  Anyone with a bad back will rejoice!

This guitar is in good condition, especially considering that it's 60 years old - and it's ready to go another 60!  The techs in our shop have set up it up to play perfectly.  It's ready to go and we think it will go fast.
