Novo Limited Miris JHH Maple Top Light Distress Pelham Burst with Case

Novo Limited Miris JHH Maple Top Light Distress Pelham Burst with Case

The Novo Miris JHH takes flight and carries the offset formula into the stratosphere, creating a refined and downright amazing guitar that is sure to impress.  We definitely were as soon as we saw this Dealer Limited version at NAMM, and knew we had to have it right away.

From the maple top to the hardware choices, the specs are dialed in to give it more punch, clarity, and visual presence than the standard Miris platform. The swamp ash body paired with a maple top gives this one a powerful, punchy low end that never sounds floppy - it's tight and responsive, with a precise attack.  The tempered maple neck provides snap and even tones no matter where you are on it.  For those looking for a lively, responsive guitar, this is it.  However you play, from strumming to picking, the guitar reacts appropriately.

The nitrocellulose laquer finish has a Light Distress treatment, giving the guitar a broken in feel and vintage vibe, without over being over the top.  We're fans of how Novo does its agin - we think they are amongst the very best at this.  The color is called Pelham Burst, and it's stunning.

The first thing we noticed right off the bat is how this guitar feels - the only appropriate word is incredible.  Or perhaps perfect.  The neck has a medium C profile, with a rosewood fretboard that sports a compound 9.5 - 14.0" radius for easy bending.  You won't fret out on this one.  Novo's luthiers nailed the worn in feel on this guitar - it's a true pleasure to play.

This Miris JHH is loaded with a set of Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers, bringing an open, articulate voice that can be crystal clear on the top end and hard hitting on the bottom end, avoiding the mud and muck that is sometimes encountered with other humbuckers. We've used this pickups on other guitars and absolutely love how versatile they are, for a variety of styles.

Another key feature is the Mastery bridge/vibrato setup - players have been gravitating towards Mastery for years.  This super high quality hardware helps to make this guitar extremely usable and player friendly.  Not many trems do it so well.  A Mastery system makes it incredibly stable while still feeling loose and expressive.

A soft case is included.  We're really into Novo here at Truetone, and especially this Miris JHH.  We'll just be sad to see it go, which it will soon!
