Used Gretsch Electromatic G6129 Firebird Red With Upgrades and Gig Bag

Used And Vintage

Have we got a guitar for your tone garage! Here's this Gretsch Electromatic G5129, an absolute fire-breather and this one also feature quality player upgrades. It is finished in a stunning Firebird Red with those classic black sides.

The body is a classic 5-ply maple hollow body that’s incredibly resonant, paired with a comfortable maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard featuring those iconic "thumbnail" inlays. It’s got all the hollow-body mojo you’d expect from a vintage-spec Gretsch, but with some serious player-grade upgrades that take it to the next level.

The electronics are where this thing really separates itself from the pack, featuring the original DeArmond 2000 single-coil pickups known for that fat, punchy "Dynasonic" twang that cuts through any mix. This specific G5129 has been overhauled with Hot Rod wiring - everything goes straight to the Master Volume (the other controls are disconnected).  This is the same as the Brian Setzer Hot Rod model's wiring . With a 3-way toggle and high-quality American CTS pots, you get a much smoother taper on your volume and tone, allowing you to dial in everything from rockabilly snap to thick, saturated blues with ease.

The hardware on this one has been fully tricked out for maximum performance, starting with a genuine American Gretsch Bigsby for those smooth, stable pitch bends. It’s been upgraded with a Tru-Arc bridge, which perfectly matches the fretboard radius for better intonation and more "meat" in your notes, and a custom-cut bone nut for superior tuning stability and sustain. Between the floating bridge and the premium hardware, this G5129 plays and stays in tune way better than your average factory model. This is a hot-rodded classic ready for the road.

This Gretsch Electromatic G5129 is in great condition and comes with a gig bag.  Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready to go.
