Gibson 50s J-45 Original Vintage Sunburst Acoustic Electric Guitar with Case
50s J-45 Original
The new 50s J-45 Original model flaunts vintage-inspired detailing from the golden era of Gibson. Classic “Workhorse” materials include a Sitka Spruce top and Select Mahogany back and sides. It's just what you'd expect out of a seasoned Gibson acoustic.
The ’50s J-45 Original is crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top that delivers rich tonal clarity, complemented by premium mahogany on the back and sides for warmth and depth. It incorporates classic hand-scalloped X-bracing, a compound dovetail neck joint for enhanced stability, and detailed multi-ply binding on the top with single-ply binding on the back, reflecting meticulous vintage craftsmanship.
The fretboard of the Gibson ’50s J-45 Original is crafted from premium rosewood, rigorously inspected and approved by Gibson specialists prior to production. This durable wood ensures a stable, well-balanced playing surface that enhances the clarity and definition of every note and chord. The fretboard features genuine mother-of-pearl dot inlays, set using a proprietary Gibson technique that eliminates gaps without the need for fillers. Additionally, the lightly beveled, rolled edges of the fretboard contribute to a smoother, more comfortable playing experience.
Appointed with cream button tuners, a 50s-era tortoise pick guard, and upgraded with an LR Baggs® VTC pickup for the best and most natural-sounding tone when amplified.
