Fender Custom Shop Truetone Two Tone Telecaster NOS Inca Silver
Truetone Two Tone Tele
That's the case with this "Truetone Two Tone Tele". We started with a 1952 Telecaster as the base model, and then altered it to create our own version. One of the most iconic and popular models in Fender history, the "Blackguard" Telecaster has earned its place as an unmistakable tonal force on countless recordings. It's pretty cool to be able to offer this historic guitar with modifications - but to add a whole new aesthetic to it is even more fun. The end result is captivating.
The two-piece ash body wears an NOS (New Old Stock) lacquer finish, without any of the relic work or aging that you normally see. While we love those guitars, we wanted this one to look like it just came out of the Fender factory yesterday. The color we chose, Inca Silver, is definitely not what you would see on a Tele back in 1952, but that's the fun of this. You also wouldn't see one with binding on the top like this one has. What you would see is the single ply black pickguard, which we kept, as well as the ash body. For this one, we asked for the back & sides not to be painted, so that the beautiful wood grain shows. So, it's natural there, but Inca Silver on top. Hence the "Truetone Two Tone Tele" moniker.
Of course it sounds like a truly classic Telecaster, thanks to the Custom Shop 51 Nocaster pickups. Created with the original design in mind to accurately provide the twang and shimmer of what the first Teles had, these period correct single coil pickups impart tight low end and clear, balanced midrange, with a precise top end that can be both smooth and sizzling.
Other features include a classic early 50's Tele bridge brass saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, and disk string tree.
The guitars comes with the certificate of authenticity, paperwork, bridge cover, strap and Custom Shop tweed case. Visit Club Fender at Truetone Music to experience it yourself, or order right here to get this guitar shipped to your home.
