Exclusive Fender Custom Shop Golden Rose Stratocaster

As part of a close partnership with the Fender Custom Shop, Truetone Music cooked up an exclusive run of guitars, known as "Truetone Color Sets".  It's where we do a quartet of instruments - Strat, Tele, Jazzmaster and Jazz bass - all in the same color, as a matching set.  For the colors, we picked unique ones that are rarely ever seen.  In this case, it's Copper Metallic.

A custom creation from Truetone Music, the "Golden Rose" 59 Stratocaster came straight from the Custom Shop to Truetone Music here on the edge of the west coast.  Like the sun setting on the Pacific Ocean, the golden hue of the Copper Metallic finish is accented by the gold hardware and Anodized Gold pickguard, creating a Strat unlike any you've seen before.   It has a light Relic finish, tastefully done with specific requests to have no arm wear, no buckle wear, but with heavy checking added.  A matching headstock caps it off, a nice touch we added to all of the Golden Rose guitars.

It's not just about the looks - this is amazing feeling and sounding guitar.  Loaded with Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups, which our favorites for any Strat.  These are calibrated pickups constructed with hand-beveled, staggered Alnico V magnets and Formvar magnet wire.  Along with crystal clear highs, they deliver enhanced bass response without the harsh midrange. The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum canceling in positions 2 and 4. 

We also went with the easy playing Mid-60's Oval "C" neck shape, and a 9.5" radius and 6105 frets on the dark AAA rosewood fretboard.  This gives you the feel of a vintage Strat but with modern playability and comfort.
