As Classic & As Cool As Can Be

Taking the coolest vintage features and adding a few modern favorites, the 1962 Strat is the rebirth of cool, bringing classic aesthetics with an also classic Fender tone, mixed with easy playability.

The main thing that stands out is the gorgeous Sea Foam Green finish. While much of what you see out there these days are Relic instruments, for this one we chose to go NOS (New Old Stock). This gives it the appearance of a guitar fresh out of the factory back in the '60's, with a perfectly clean lacquer finish - no dings, no dents, no wear whatsoever. Straight up and clean, just as it was intended to be as a new guitar. At just 7.6 pounds, it will be a breeze to play while standing up, even all night on stage.

The rock solid quartersawn maple neck is super comfortable with the 60's Oval "C" carve (the most popular for Custom Shop Strats), 6105 frets and a 9.5" radius for easy playability on a dark AAA rosewood fretboard. It has all of the look, vibe and sound of a vintage Strat, but with modern playability. All of the hardware is "period correct", with the right tuners, bridge, etc. Another modern tweak we made is having it wired with a 5 way switch, which of course is the common choice and has been for years.

But how does it sound? Well, spectacular. The guitar is loaded with Custom Shop 60's Strat pickups, which recreate the early 60's Strat sound that is known and love by players all over. You'll be able to get the clean, glassy highs that Strats are known for, with a solid low end and just enough mid-range punch to cut through the mix.

This is one spectacular Strat, and in a sea of aged guitars, it's honestly refreshing to see one that made to look brand new, unplayed, and super clean.
