Fender Custom Shop 1959 Jazzmaster Closet Classic Sherwood Green Metallic
The Maxmaster
Ever since the Jazzmaster was designed in the late 1950's, players have been drawn to the sound, feel and look of this legendary model. Over the years, it evolved, but for many, it's all about going back to the original vibe. And for some, the 1959 edition is "the one". Why? This Fender Custom Shop '59 Jazzmaster right here might answer that. And for those that want something truly unique, the aesthetic of this one may seal the deal. Here at Truetone, everyone is a player, and we like to get everyone involved in the creation of Custom Shop guitars - we've started a run of "Staff Picks". This is one of the first, from our long time customer, employee and friend Max Kane. You may know him from his band All Systems Know, or seen him around L.A. on various stages. You may also recognize his work on our social media posts, as many of those sweet shots of guitars around Santa Monica come from him. We asked Max what his dream guitar would be, and the outcome was this '59 Jazzmaster in Sherwood Green with a matching headstock. It doesn't stop there - keep reading and you'll see why this one is special. First, here's what he said about it:
Another main feature is that it's equipped with the RSD J-Bridge. This is Fender's proprietary take on a new & improved bridge for offset guitars, it's there for better stability, with brass saddles for extra warmth. This bridge is only available on Custom Shop guitars. Due to the extremely positive reaction, we've started requesting it on nearly every Jazzmaster we do. Max knew right away he wanted this bridge on the guitar.
