Fano Oltre SP6 Light Distress 3-Tone Sunburst with Gig Bag
Built in Fano's US facilities, Oltre Series guitars are made to order – guitarists can choose from over 40 different finishes, as well as a range of distress levels, from new-old-stock (NOS) to heavy. The models can be further visually customized with a variety of pickguard colors and knob styles. The single-cut shape of the SP6 echoes a traditional solid body, while breaking tradition by adding new features.
The Medium Distress finish package gives it the feel of a guitar that's been aged, but not used too heavily, and is ready to be played. The broken-in feel is right there in your hands. It's tastefully done, as seen in the photos. We chose to do this one in a classic 3-Tone Sunburst, and love the way it came out!
Taking you back to early 50’s style classic features, but with a serious modern day attitude, the SP6 Standard is a true workhorse. Its modern/old school, string-through, compensated bridge provides exceptional tone and sustain mounted on this American made Alder body. The pickups are voiced specifically for the instrument. The warm, powerful Fano P-90 neck and a balanced “T”-Style bridge pickup provides clarity, dynamics and punch to help you to sonically rule the stage. Perfect for any style of music, this USA made beauty brings your playing to a whole new level.
The Late 50's Roundback shaped neck is extremely comfortable, and the compound radius is perfect for both chording and lead playing. The back of the neck is smooth and a breeze to play - we went for a medium distress level for the neck to give it that worn in touch that Fano excels at. This guitar has the feel and vibe of an old vintage instrument but with some modern tweaks, upgrades and reliability. The Alder body is light and resonant. The finishing work, in our opinion, is perfect - there are not many that can do it as well as Fano.
