Fano Oltre JM4 Bass Heavy Distress Sonic Blue with Gig Bag

Fano Oltre JM4 Bass Heavy Distress Sonic Blue with Gig Bag

Built in Fano's US facilities, Oltre Series instruments are made to order – and here at Truetone Music, we love customization like this.  It gives us the opportunity to choose from over 40 different finishes, as well as a range of distress levels, from new-old-stock (NOS) to heavy. The models can be further visually customized with a variety of pickguard colors and knob styles, as well as pickups.  For those that feel that variety is the spice of life, it's a little bit of a dream come true.

A few years back, Fano introduced the JM4 model, which delighted bass players worldwide.  It has a truly retro vibe but modern features and playability.  Looking like a four-string version of Fano's best known model, the JM6, this brand new American-made bass has an offset style body, 34" scale length, an early 60's C neck profile and a flat 12" radius.  Other features include a solid HiMax bridge (which can either be strung through the body or top loaded) and Fano's own tuners to ensure stability

For the pickups, we went with Lollar Thunderbirds, which have a powerful but vintage tone.  Their variation of these pickups stays true to the iconic Thunderbird bass growl, providing a precise tone, seamless attack, and improved volume balance between pickups compared to the originals.

We went for Sonic Blue, one of the coolest old school vintage colors, with a tastefully Heavy Distress finish and for broken in feel.  We love how it came out.  Fano always knocks it out of the park, but did so extraordinarily on this bass!

It's the only one out there like it, and we think it will go fast.  Get it now before it's gone.
